The Wo-man and the Seashell
A conch shell found on a trip to Martinique became an object of contemplation and short-term obsession for me. Shells have often been ascribed sexual qualities and have rather crassly at times served as stand-ins for human anatomy. As I explored the various shapes and forms contained within my shell I felt the need to express them as figurative studies.
